Touchstone

This Saturday is our next work day at Touchstone. The men of Frank division have been volunteering their time to help renovate the building. Working with the Family of Women, they have so far has made a big difference to the appearance of the building both inside and out. In past months the men have painted the front exterior wall and patched and painted a number of rooms inside, as well as doing cleaning and various minor repairs.

But the difference has been more than just making the building look better. The project leader says,

I have come to realize that the way we show up is just as important as the work we do. We arrive as a team of men who are self organizing, energetic and ready to get down to the job, solving problems as we go along. And we have fun while we are doing it. This is an amazing example to the residents and a real boost to the staff.
